Yesterday, on the first day of Advent, I put out the Nativity set and Advent wreath in the main living areas. My son discovered this strand of chili pepper lights that I've had for years. Since we won't be putting up the Christmas tree yet, I decided to decorate his bed with them because they have already started talking about Christmas at school and he has started asking me about the Christmas decorations he has been seeing in our neighborhood.
